Working with Israel Folau and Samsung, I wanted to move away from the noise of the stadium and focus on the internal preparation of an elite athlete. This series documents the pre-game ritual, the intense, solitary focus that happens in the locker room long before the first whistle.

By utilising moody, low-key lighting, the shots emphasize the contrast between the athlete and his environment. It’s a study of concentration and technology, where the headphones become a tool for isolation and mental clarity. These images capture the raw, quiet tension of a high-performance mindset, showcasing the gear as a vital part of the professional process.
