This was a journey into the spiritual Dreatime of the Northern Territory with one amazing week navigating the vast, stunning landscape of the West Arnhem backcountry. Led by Trevor Wie from Kakadu Cultural Tours, I followed ancient songlines into sacred rock galleries that remain largely hidden from the outside world.

Moving through these remote caves felt like stepping out of time. These aren't just paintings; they are 50,000-year-old maps of history etched into the earth, vivid and haunting depictions of the Rainbow Serpent and the First People. With Trevor’s deep knowledge as a bridge, I was able to document a world where the landscape and the spirit realm are inseparable. It was a masterclass in survival, storytelling, and the enduring power of the Dreamtime.
